1. Overview

RT AI Distribution complies with applicable intellectual property laws and regulations, including the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, and international safe harbour standards. If you believe any recording or artwork distributed via our platform infringes your protected work, you may submit a formal takedown request following the steps below.

2. Submitting a Takedown Notice

To request removal of an infringing release, please submit a written notice to our designated desk via our Contact & Support page (Category: Copyright Claim) including the following details:

  • Your full legal name, company or label name, physical address, telephone number, and official email address.
  • Specific identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. track title, ISRC, release URL, or copyright registration number).
  • Specific identification and URL or Release Reference ID of the material claimed to be infringing on RT AI Distribution.
  • A statement affirming your good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Verification & Processing

Upon receiving a compliant notice, our operations team will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of the claim within 24 to 48 business hours.
  • Conduct an expedited review of the metadata, audio match, and artist account.
  • Temporarily suspend distribution or issue partner takedown requests pending resolution if a prima facie claim is established.
  • Notify the submitting artist or label and provide them with a summary of the claim.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure

If an artist believes that their release was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification (for example, where the artist holds valid commercial license rights or AI model output rights), they may submit a counter-notification with supporting documentation within 14 business days.

5. Repeat Infringement

RT AI Distribution maintains a zero-tolerance repeat infringer policy. Accounts determined to have engaged in wilful or repeated copyright infringement will have their subscription terminated and catalog permanently removed, as detailed in our Terms & Conditions and Copyright Policy.

6. Voluntary Artist Takedowns & 2-Year Term Commitment

To prevent catalog churn and maintain ingestion stability with global digital music platforms, distributed releases carry an initial two (2) year term commitment. Artists and labels may request voluntary takedown after this 2-year period through their dashboard or the support desk. Legitimate exceptions where voluntary takedowns are honored before the expiration of the 2-year term without administrative penalty include:

  • Verified intellectual property disputes or discovery of third-party copyright claims.
  • Termination or expiration of rights granted by an underlying AI generative model or sample library.
  • Formal court decrees, regulatory directives, or mutual legal agreement.
